top ten weirdest anime

Top ten WEIRDEST (but good) anime

1.  Panty And Stocking (action/comedy)

wikipedia plot:

The show revolves around the exploits of the Anarchy sisters, Panty and Stocking, angels who were kicked out of Heaven due to their bad behavior. They are sent to Daten City—a pun on the Japanese word datenshi (堕天使?, lit. "fallen angel")—a place on the border between Heaven and Hell, which is besieged by evil spirits referred to as "Ghosts". Under the watchful eye of the reverend Garterbelt, the two are tasked with collecting enough Heaven Coins to buy their way back into Heaven by destroying Ghosts using their powers, including the ability to transform their lingerie into weapons. However, Panty and Stocking are constantly sidetracked by their respective interests in men and sugar.

2. Ghost stories (english dub) (comedy/parody)         wikipedia plot:

Ghost Stories tells the tale of Satsuki Miyanoshita, who moves with her family to the hometown of her deceased mother. On her first day of school, Satsuki; her brother Keiichirou, a first-grader; their neighbor Hajime Aoyama; Momoko Koigakubo, an older schoolmate; and Leo Kakinoki, a classmate and friend of Hajime's with a penchant for the paranormal visit the abandoned school building adjacent the current school complex and discover
that the building is haunted.
It is soon after revealed that Satsuki's mother was responsible for sealing several ghosts who haunted not only the school but also the town, and now they are released due to the urbanization taking place in the surrounding area. Satsuki's mother left behind a book detailing how to exorcise the ghosts once and for all. In her first confronation, Satsuki faces a demon called Amanojaku, but in the process Amanojaku is sealed within Satsuki's pet cat, Kaya. Although Amanojaku does not want to help Satsuki at first, the danger soon threatens to envelop the town and it is left up to Satsuki, her friends and Amanojaku to stop the ghosts. At last, with the help of Amanojaku, the friends finally are able to exorcise the ghosts.

3. school rumble (comedy/romance)                               wikipedia plot:

School Rumble is a romantic shōnen comedy revolving around the daily lives of the students of Class 2-C at the fictional Yagami High School, along with their friends and families. The main female protagonist is Tenma Tsukamoto, an unremarkable second-year high school student[2] who secretly admires her eccentric, enigmatic, nice-guy classmate, Oji Karasuma.[3] Tenma struggles to confess her feelings to Oji. He remains oblivious to her interest, instead seeking fulfillment by indulging in curry. The main male protagonist, delinquent Kenji Harima, similarly yearns for Tenma, attending school solely to be near her.[4] Like Tenma, Harima has difficulty declaring his love, and whenever he summons the courage to do so, circumstances conspire against him.[5]
Harima complicates the love triangle through constant bumbling, and misunderstandings among the students aggravate the situation. Harima becomes involved with Tenma's close friend, Eri Sawachika, after the pair are thrown together in mutually embarrassing situations. Later in the series, he develops a friendship with Tenma's younger sister, Yakumo Tsukamoto, who becomes Harima's assistant on a manga he writes. The plots of Harima's stories portray a Harima-like hero fighting to save a Tenma-like damsel in various historical or fantastical situations, usually in battle against an obvious facsimile of Karasuma. After the hero saves the heroine, she always falls in love with him. Yakumo's relationship with Harima causes problems with Class 2-C's student representative, Haruki Hanai, who has a crush on Yakumo, with the sisters' shared surname causing Harima and Hanai to misinterpret the object of each others' respective infatuations.[n 2] Although Harima manages to engineer romantic encounters with Tenma, her relationship with Karasuma nevertheless progresses, and Harima's bonds with Eri and Yakumo grow stronger. Eventually Tenma musters the courage to confess her love, but shortly after Karasuma loses his memory. His amnesia gives a purpose to Tenma's life; she concentrates on her studies to become a doctor and help Karasuma.
Although School Rumble focuses on Harima and Tenma, the series explores a number of supporting characters. These include Tenma's friends Mikoto Suo, who runs a kenpo dojo where her childhood friend, Hanai, trains, and Akira Takano, a mysterious and uncannily perceptive girl. As the story progresses, more major characters are introduced into the relationship web.
School Rumble Z ends with Class 2-C's graduation ceremony. At this point most of the plot-lines are settled, but there is no clear resolution for the main protagonists. Karasuma still suffers from memory loss, and although Harima attends the ceremony with Eri,their relationship status remains the same. There is an scene in the last chapter which could either be an imagination from Max or a flashforward, which shows him and Eri visiting Karasuma and the Tsukamoto sisters together, with Eri carrying a child in her arms.[6]

4. Nichijou (comedy/slice of life)                                              wikipedia plot

Nichijou follows the everyday lives of various people in the town of Tokisadame,[1] mainly focusing on the energetic Yūko Aioi, the bright and cheerful Mio Naganohara, the quiet and deadpan Mai Minakami, the anxious robot Nano Shinonome, her eight-year-old creator the Professor, and a talking cat named Sakamoto, along with an ensemble cast of characters. Vignettes which are mostly unrelated to the main focus of the series are placed throughout each  episode, some of them adapted from Arawi's manga Helvetica Standard.

5. sankerea (romance/comedy/drama)                           wikipedia plot:

Chihiro Furuya is a male high school student with a keen interest in zombies, collecting zombie-related videogames, film and manga, and even to the point of desiring to "kiss a zombie girl". Following the death of his pet cat, Babu, he attempts to revive it using an old manuscript, which describes the process of creating a potion for resurrection. At this time, he encounters a girl named Rea Sanka, who has run away from home. In an attempt to commit suicide, she drinks a sample of the "resurrection" potion which is created from the poisonous Hydrangea macrophylla flower, although this fails to kill her. Following an argument with her father, she falls from a cliff by accident and dies. However, as a result of the potion, she becomes a zombie who eats hydrangea leaves to survive. The story follows the life of Chihiro and his new 'zombie girlfriend

Quick Anime Recommendation/review

Tokyo Marble Chocolate

In this two episode long anime we follow a young boy and girl and a miniature donkey! The boy and girl have always messed up their past relationships and are not experts in love. They're in a relationship and in the two episodes you follow their journey of overcoming there past issues, I'll put a wikipedia summary below, but now i'm going to talk about the art. The art in my opinion, I would call it a simplistic masterpiece. The art style is simple but the colour, scenery and overall movements of the characters are amazing and artistic, I very much enjoyed this refreshing new art style that this anime brought me. The story is also simple but in a good way, there are no big booked exorcists fighting demons in high school and then falling in love with a random school dude. It's something I think we can all relate to, real relationships issues and internal conflicts from past relationships. Overall I'd give this anime five out of five stars, because I like short anime'n but this one was really relaxing and enjoyable for me and aI thoroughly enjoyed it! Wiki description below as well as some pictures and gifs!

Chizuru loves Yuudai; Yuudai loves Chizuru. Yet, neither of them can say it clearly because, not only are they both uncertain about the other’s feelings but, a mutual fear of hurt stemming from failed relationships in their pasts continues a pattern of misunderstandings. So trapped by their insecurities that their relationship is going nowhere, they drift further and further apart. While Chizuru thinks this is the end of the road, Yuudai struggles desperately to overcome his cowardly nature before he loses what is most important to him. There are two sides to every story, every relationship; but can love survive if both sides can’t meet halfway?!

What does otaku mean?

Wikipedia definition:

Not to be confused with Otakou.
For the Ōta-ku ward, see Ōta, Tokyo.
The Akihabara neighborhood of Tokyo, a popular gathering site for otaku
Otaku (おたく/オタク?) is a Japanese term for people with obsessive interests, commonly the anime and manga fandom. Its contemporary usage originated with Akio Nakamori's 1983 essay in Manga Burikko.[1][2] Otaku may be used as a pejorative; its negativity stems from the stereotypical view of otaku and the media's reporting on Tsutomu Miyazaki, "The Otaku Murderer", in 1989. According to studies published in 2013, the term has become less negative, and an increasing number of people now self-identify as otaku.[3]
Otaku subculture is a central theme of various anime and manga works, documentaries and academic research. The subculture began in the 1980s as changing social mentalities and the nurturing of otaku traits by Japanese schools combined with the resignation of such individuals to become social outcasts. The subculture's birth coincided with the anime boom, after the release of works like Mobile Suit Gundam before branched into Comic Market. The definition of otaku subsequently became more complex, and numerous classifications of otaku emerged. In 2005, the Nomura Research Institute divided otaku into twelve groups and estimated the size and market impact of each of these groups. Other institutions have split it further or focus on a single otaku interest. These publications classify distinct groups including anime, manga, camera, automobile, idol and electronics otaku. The economic impact of otaku has been estimated to be as high as ¥2 trillion ($18 billion).[4]

Urban dictionary: (hate this one, not true and pisses me off... but I'm here to deliver all explanations!)

Otaku is the honorific word of Taku (home).

Otaku is extremely negative in meaning as it is used to refer to someone who stays at home all the time and doesn't have a life (no social life, no love life, etc)

Usually an otaku person has nothing better to do with their life so they pass the time by watching anime, playing videogames, surfing the internet (otaku is also used to refer to a nerd/hacker/programmer).

In the Western culture, people confuse otaku to be something positive like "Guru". If you think about it, it's not really good to be called a guru if it means you are a total loser who can't socialize with other people except through the Internet.

Other Japanese words which have been confused by Westerners also include but not limited to: Anime, Manga, etc
otaku no jinsei ha yabai na! (it sucks to live the life of an otaku!)

person from wiki ask

The term is a loanword from the Japanese language. In English, it is usually used to refer to an obsessive fan of anime/manga and/or Japanese culture generally, and to a lesser extent Japanese video games.

The term serves as a label similar to Trekkie or fanboy. However, use of the label can be a source of contention among some anime fans, particularly those who are aware of the negative connotations the term has in Japan. Unpleasant stereotypes about otaku prevail in worldwide fan communities, and some anime fans express concern about the effect these more extreme fans can have on the reputation of their hobby (not unlike sentiments in the comic book and science fiction fandoms).[8]

The term otaku is close in connotation to the English nerd, but the closest English-language analogue to otaku is probably the British English term anorak. Both of these English-language terms have more emphatically negative connotations of poor social skills and obsessive interest in a topic that seems strange, niche or boring to others. It is not applied to a socially awkward intelligent person who appears fairly "normal," and merely has an interest in certain typically 'geekish' pursuits (video games, comic books, computers, etc.).

While otaku in English-speaking contexts is generally understood to mean geek or even fan, this usage is not widely known in Japan and hence casual use of the term may confuse native Japanese speakers. Self-identification as an otaku may seem strange to them, and they may be offended if a non-Japanese speaker calls them an otaku.

To indicate that one is talking about the Japanese definition rather than the English loanword, the spelling wotaku (ヲタク) is sometimes used. On Japanese forums such as 2channel, however, otaku (オタク) and wotaku (ヲタク) are used interchangeably, depending on the mood and personal style of the poster.

The term was popularized by William Gibson's 1996 novel Idoru, which has several references to otaku.

“ The otaku, the passionate obsessive, the information age's embodiment of the connoisseur, more concerned with the accumulation of data than of objects, seems a natural crossover figure in today's interface of British and Japanese cultures. I see it in the eyes of the Portobello dealers, and in the eyes of the Japanese collectors: a perfectly calm train-spotter frenzy, murderous and sublime. Understanding otaku -hood, I think, is one of the keys to understanding the culture of the web. There is something profoundly post-national about it, extra-geographic. We are all curators, in the post-modern world, whether we want to be or not.[9] ”
— Modern boys and mobile girls, April 2001 edition of The Observer

anyways so there you have most of the otaku definitions on the internet! probably not... but hopefully this helped you if you were confused with this term!!

Worst anime characters ever

The worst anime CHARACTERS OF ALL TIME, that others like. (in my opinion.....)  these are not characters that were intended to be bad they just rubbed off that way on me.

1.  Himeji (baka and test)

Look for all Himeji fans, i'm not trying to offend you but ya.....

Himeji is your classic big boob, pink hair, high voice, overly nice, in love with main guy of harem character. And she's not original at all, in fact i find her very annoying she's always finding a way to weasel her breasts into the conversation around her flat chested "friend" whom she's really not nice to at all. She's going after the guy her friend likes and flaunting her assets to make her friend feel bad. She pretends to be innocent in my opinion but honestly she just rubs off as obnoxious and cocky.

2. Lili (is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon?)

Looks cute right? Well ok once i'm introduced to the main girl of an anime, any girl that goes after her man I usually don't like. And yes, lili is one of them. Lili does have a sad past so i suppose i can say that some of her actions are in despite of that but....... So she meets the main character Bell and she kinda likes him i suppose. He's really nice to her and she steals from him, the dagger hestia worked hard to get him. And then he kinda lets that slide and then she puts him in a trap and leaves him for dead. And he is saved and forgives her, and they become friends. And then she still thinks she should be with him over hestia?! NO!!! Hestia is devoted to him you tried to kill him!!! Ugh Here i go again don't get me started on this character.....

3. Inori (gulty crown) OK DON'T HATE ME!!! IM SORRY!!!

Ya she's definitely the best of the worst out of the characters on this list. From the first time i saw Inori she bugged me. I never get female characters who are in battle but yet their boobs are hanging out?! Look, i've watched a lot of anime and you have to learn to live with this because it happens even in the best anime, its all fan service. And I do believe she's not a bad person, but she is a bit cocky with her and her music videos, which i don't get why she's posting music videos if she's like hiding from the police...wat? And she tricks the main character into a battle thats not his to fight and kinda makes his life extremely difficult. And he actually likes her at one point and she keeps walking into a room with this long haired dude. Sorry if u like her idk i guess I'm just picky with romance female roles.

4. Hestia (Familiar of Zero)

OH MY GOSH...........

I HATE HER I HATE HER I HATE HER I HATE HER I HATE HER I HATE HER I HATE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SHE KEEPS TRYING TO STEAL SAITO FROM LOUISE....

JUST STOP

THERE YOU GO MY MOST HATED CHARACTER OF ALL TIME HESTIA CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!

Thursday 19 November 2015

here is some of my (in my personal opinion and taste) personal favourite anime! I consider myself an anime veteran! I've been watching anime for years! But all of the anime in the list below works for beginners and veterans!

1. Attack on titan (I KNOW ITS MAINSTREAM....) look if your looking for a obscure non mainstream anime scroll down because there are quite a few, but I'm sorry i had to put this in because I do really love it an it's a damn good anime. I would say it falls under Action, drama and mystery. And for you romance lovers don't worry, the ships are ENDLESS. (ask tumblr..) and honestly i'm more of a romance anime fan or an action romance fan but this anime is....Its just....omagawd. Check it out very good plotline. down below is some outlines from wikia if your interested.

  • 2000 years from now, humans are nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans. Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single titan and take revenge for all of mankind.

  • Set in a fantasy world, mankind is driven to the brink of extinction by mindless, man-eating giants known as Titans. In defense, all of humanity retreated to a civilisation contained within three concentric 50-meter Walls: Maria, Rose, and Sina. In the year 845, after nearly a century of relative peace within the walls, a 60-meter "Colossal" Titan materialised at and destroyed the outermost gate, ushering in hoards of smaller Titans. Witnessing the fullness of the Titan horror first-hand, a young and tenacious Eren Jaeger vows to rid the world of all Titans and win back freedom for mankind. He is joined by his adoptive sister, Mikasa Ackerman and their friend, Armin Arlert as they set out to fulfill this shared dream.

2. Inu x boku ss (If youre a romance lover than this is for you!) As an anime romance lover I thoroughly enjoyed this anime and it made me cry so much! tears of joy and love! The plot is great, but I do feel that there could have been less filler and more actual focus on the plot. And what makes this anime stand out is that the main character is not a tsudedre, yandedre or anything like that. She's in her own league and she's not the boring super nice type either. The character choices are all completely original as well as the designs. The art is pretty good and the anime s pretty short only 13 episodes if you don't like long anime.  There is a plot summary below from wikipedia :)

The Maison de Ayakashi (メゾン・ド・章樫 Mezon do Ayakashi?), better known as the Ayakashikan (妖館?), is a high security apartment building where humans with demon ancestors, or yōkai, reside, each guarded by their own Secret Service bodyguard. A yōkai girl named Ririchiyo Shirakiin moves into the Ayakashikan hoping for some peace and quiet. But instead, she finds herself with the service of the Secret Service agent, Sōshi Miketsukami.
The first four volumes of the manga are a prologue. At the end of volume four, a foe possesses Karuta, leaving her in a coma for several months, and uses other yōkai to attack the other residents of Maison de Ayakashi. Due to this, nearly every member of the main cast is killed except Renshō, who is currently 41 years old. Part two takes place 23 years later, when those killed are reincarnated. The yōkai boy, Mikoto, is still alive as the friend of Watanuki who is now a middle schooler. A time capsule is sent to the past, and now, in the third arc, the story jumps back to the past when they are about to make a time capsule for their future selves.

3.  Kill la kill (ok ok this one is a bit ecchi so if you hate that then scroll down)  (And btw its mainly action swell no romance really.) Well what can i say, the art is so amazing, its original, colourful and just overall awesome. The character design is superb all the charecters have amazing and in depth design and this anime is also hilarious. It can make fun of itself in all the right ways. The music and art are amazing but the plot is almost even better. It has an engaging story that gets you going and characters that keep you engaged and marathoning it in a night. Again there will be a plot summary down below as well as a picture.

Kill la Kill is set at Honnouji Academy (本能字学園 Honnōji Gakuen), a fictional high school situated in Tokyo Bay, Japan on the island of Honnō City. The school is dominated by its fearsome student council led by Satsuki Kiryuin. Its students wear Goku Uniforms (極制服 Gokuseifuku, from gokusei(極製?, "finest quality") + seifuku (制服?, "school uniform")) which give their wearers superhuman abilities because they are constructed with a special material known as Life Fibers (生命戦維 Seimei Sen'i, lit. "Life Battle-Fibers"). Transfer student Ryuko Matoi, who wields a scissor-shaped longsword that can cut Goku Uniforms, challenges the council as she searches for her father's killer. Although she is initially easily defeated, she finds a sentient sailor uniform that she names Senketsu, a Kamui (神衣, lit. "Godrobe") which is completely made of Life Fibers and transforms her so that she can face Kiryuin and her trials and obstacles. She is befriended by her hyperactive classmate Mako Mankanshoku and lives with her family.
When Satsuki reorganizes the allocation of Goku Uniforms through a battle royal and king-of-the-hill event known as Naturals Election, Ryuko faces the members of Satsuki's Elite Four, who wear powerful Three-Star Goku Uniforms, in a series of duels. Her final fight is interrupted by Nui Harime, the wielder of the other Scissor Blade and the murderer of Ryuko's father. In the ensuing fight, Ryuko transforms into an uncontrollable monster.
With the Tri-City Schools Raid, Satsuki annexes the major schools in the other regions of Japan, and quashes Nudist Beach (ヌーディスト・ビーチNūdisuto Bīchi), a paramilitary organization led by Ryuko's homeroom teacher Aikuro Mikisugi. She arranges for a festival that will host her mother Ragyo, the academy's director and the CEO of REVOCS Corporation (REVOCSコーポレーション Ribokkusu Kōporēshon), a clothing manufacturer that has dominated the world-wide market. Mikisugi reveals that the Life Fibers, which have been woven into all REVOCS clothing, are actually aliens that consume their wearers. When they devour the festival audience, Satsuki turns on her mother, revealing her end goal has always been destroying Ragyo, but the rebellion is short-lived as Ragyo has fused with the Life Fibers to attain tremendous power. Ragyo recognizes Ryuko as her own daughter and Satsuki's younger sister, who survived the termination of a Life Fiber experiment and was raised in secrecy by Ragyo's missing husband Isshin Matoi.
A month later, Ragyo and the Life Fibers have devastated Japan and have captured Satsuki, leaving the Elite Four without Goku Uniforms and forced to hide out with Ryuko and the others at Nudist Beach. When they rescue Satsuki, Ragyo captures and brainwashes Ryuko into fighting her. After Ryuko frees herself, she and Satsuki challenge Ragyo, who plans to detonate the Earth in order to propagate the Life Fibers throughout the universe. After taking down the transmitter and blasting the cocoon that houses the Original Life Fiber, Ryuko chases Ragyo into space and defeats her, causing the Life Fiber clothes to perish.

4.  death parade (OMAGODD IM IN LOVE WITH DESIM!) Anyways, husband aside, This anime is super original and pretty amazing overall! The art is really really really good, nothing compared to kill la kill but kill la kill in my opinion is on another level of anime art style. And the character design is amazing and original. There is something about each character that makes you feel attached to each one, there is also a good amount of character development in a small amount of episodes. The plot is awesome and original like super original. And it adds humour, gore, drama, heart felt moments and even friendship moments as well. And don't even get me started on that awesome opening. If you're into sebastian I think you'll like this anime! plot summary below

Whenever two people on Earth die at the same time, they are sent to one of many mysterious bars run by bartenders serving as arbiters. There, they must participate in Death Games with their lives on the line, the results of which reveal what secrets led them to their situation and what their fate will be afterwards, with the arbiters judging if their souls will either be sent for reincarnation or banished into the void. The series follows Decim, the lone bartender of the Quindecim bar, whose role in judging these souls changes when he meets a curious black-haired woman.

5.  Puella Magi Madoka Magica (had to put at least one magical girl anime in here!) Another anime that is SUPPPERRR ARTSY like the plot is even artsy. How....? The art is really nice and super amazing! And it mixes lolita, alice and wonderland/sailor moon/school girl theme.  There is no romance, rather the plot focuses more on the friendship between the five girls and the sacrifices that make on their journey. The bonds between these girls are strong and amazing to watch grow! It explores sacrifices of your own well being. It fiddles with decivment, trickery and even family back stories. All the girls are individual in personality and art style! If you like sailor moon or card captor sakura (don't kill me) but this anime is almost even better, its amazing and if you're even a fan of any anime it's worth checking out. plot below :)

In the fictional city of Mitakihara, Japan, a middle school student named Madoka Kaname and her friend Sayaka Miki encounter a small, cat-like creature named Kyubey. It offers a contract in which a girl may have any wish granted in exchange for obtaining magical powers and being tasked with fighting against witches. Meanwhile, a transfer student and magical girl named Homura Akemi tries to stop Madoka from making the contract with Kyubey at all costs. Madoka and Sayaka then meet Mami Tomoe, an upperclassman at the same school who is also a magical girl and offers to bring them along on her witch hunts so that they may learn of the responsibilities that come with being a magical girl.
As Madoka contemplates accepting the contract with Kyubey, she witnesses the death of Mami at the hands of a witch and realizes that a magical girl's life is filled with danger, anguish, and suffering. This is further enforced by the appearance of Kyoko Sakura, a veteran magical girl whose wish indirectly caused the death of her family. Madoka also discovers that not only do magical girls give up their souls to form their Soul Gems, the source of their magic, but when those Soul Gems become too tainted with despair, they transform into the very witches they fight against. This is exemplified when Sayaka, heavily disillusioned with the current state of the world, falls into an irrecoverable despair that turns her into a witch. It is then revealed that Kyubey's alien race is harvesting the emotions from magical girls to use as energy to counteract the spread of entropy. Madoka also learns that Homura is a magical girl from a different timeline who has repeated the same month countless times in order to try to save her from a grisly fate. After these revelations, Madoka decides to become a magical girl with the wish to stop witches before they are created. This rewrites the laws of the universe, resulting in Madoka becoming nothing more than a concept and Homura being the only one who remembers her in the new world that is formed.

well, thats all for today! I'll post more anime tops next week! :) bye!!!
